   Isn’t dedicated virtual the same as shared? In each case you share a server with other people.

   Yes but only if your web hosting service provider does not cheat you.

   Media Temple is nice…but it’s not amazing. Personally, I think their (dv) hosting is TOO expensive ($40-$50 is just too much). And you don’t get that much. I left them a while ago.

   You want quality hosting…for less than $30 a month?….better than dv?

   What you need is semi-dedicated hosting. JaguarPC currently offers the best hosting you can buy….it’s like dedicated hosting but it’s all managed like shared hosting! They put you on a server with a lot less people, meaning you can hog the CPU resources, your site will load faster, you get unlimited disk space, and massive amounts of bandwidth!

   well yes for sure if u move to a vps it will imporve ur site performance in case that u got a good vps for sure cuz on shared hosting ur sharing the server resources with 100 ppl but on vps ur sharing with 10 so thats different and on vps u got a big limit on cpu load not like on shared hosting ur not able to load more then 15% for more then 1 mins
   i think if u got a good traffic site u should move it to a vps and here that will help u with offers and prices choise top 10 vps and check the top 10 companies and read there info and what the offer u

   Your problem comes from your web hosting provider. Many shared hosting runs on fast servers. Most of them offer a 30-day money back and you can try them during this period to understand if you are happy with the speed of their servers.
